Large Antique French Wine Press Pedestal

£330.00

A substantial sculptural French screw pedestal, dating to the 19th century.

A particularly special example of this design, the pedestal is an incredibly heavy, tactile piece. Constructed in oak, the piece makes use of a beautifully gnarly antique wine press screw as its stem. The wood has a warm, dark patina. Perfectly styled as a stand-alone piece, the pedestal can also be used to display large plants and art pieces.

The piece has wear aligned with its age and use.

We have a shorter pedestal in the same style, which can be found here.

Sourced in the UK.

This piece measures 106cm tall, the top measures 30cm wide.

Due to its weight, standard delivery is not available for this piece, collection or courier can be arranged after purchase.
