Checked Marquetry Occasional Table, Georgian
An antique tilt top occasional table.
Dating to the Georgian period, C1780, this piece was made in England and features a checked oak marquetry top.
The table is an excellent example of 18th century craftsmanship and is still a solid, fully functioning piece. The table top can tilt fully vertically when not in use.
The top has minimal wear expected with it’s age and use, the wood has a developed a warm dark patina. The surface is so slightly warped off level, however doesn’t effect it’s functionality.
This piece would be perfect for use as a hallway table or side table.
