A sculptural pair of Swedish pewter candlesticks, attributed to B.H Edlund.
Dating to the 1930’s, and of the late art deco design movement, the candlesticks reflect the transitional period between classic art deco towards the pared back aesthetic of Scandinavian functionalism.
The candlesticks are heavy and beautifully made, featuring clean curves and balanced proportions. Perfectly styled upon a mantlepiece or dining table, the candlesticks make a fantastic centrepiece.
The pieces have wear aligned with their age and use. Sold as a pair.
